Dr Annabel Sowemimo is a Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH) Registrar doctor and founder of community based organisation Decolonising Contraception (DC). Her interests include tackling Gender Based Violence and improving SRH access for marginalised groups.
She is a regular columnist for gal-dem and freelance journalist. She is a part-time PhD candidate and Harold Moody Scholar at King's College London with her research focusing on
the historical experiences of Black British women and fertility control methods. She is also a trustee for Medact Charity.

Edem Babara Ntumy is a community educator whose work ranges across sexual and reproductive health, feminism and anti-racism. She initially started as volunteer for a sexual health project almost a decade ago, going on to work in the sector and most notably leading Decolonsing Contraception. Edem has previously worked with Verifie Health, who provide information, advice, confidential and affordable STI tests in Ghana. She is the recipient of the 2022 Olive Morris Memorial Award in remembrance of community leader and activist Olive Elaine Morris.
